A very small museum with a good selection of fiat and hard currency. All reviews are subjective but this museum ( tiny as it is ) could improve itself by having more gold/silver and items used to barter before currencies. A very pleasant experience and...More

Despite it is free, it is way better than most museums around the area. Hundreds of exhibits, amazing collections, very well presented and preserved. Do not miss it

This is a free museum and was very intersting. The lady at the the desk was very nice and headed us in the right direction for the tour. It was only 2 blocks from our hotel.

Several other reviews convinced me to giver it a try. It gives a good overview of the monetary development ofLithuania, particularly the transition to a central bank and then the rape of the Nazis and then the Soviets and the return to a market economy.
