Close to a big communist statue is the statue of ronald reagan, close to the US embassy; only pity is that the statue is taller than ronald was, so less nice for selfies

The statue is nicely done, but I am missing an explanation for why Ronald Reagan has been put up here in Budapest.

What a nice memorial to the leader who called for the end to the Soviet tyranny and won the case. To think what he accomplished is recognized by the small state of Hungary is a tribute to a man of out time. We were reminded...More

Located near the US Embassy and the Parliament was a surprise to see. Would not pay for a tour to take me here but is nice to stumble upon.

I came across this statue while walking to the Parliament It is located in a park which during my visit had many exhibits regarding some progress/initiatives. There are no explanations regarding the presence of Reagan Statue here so I wondered about the story behind this.

Sought this statue out. Well, just because. Stumbling across some of "fun" statues in Budapest was neat but this one is extraordinary both in it craftsmanship and in its symbolism. I couldn't help but think to myself while standing next to the statue (yup, a...More

This is a peculiar little gem in Liberty Square. I won't re-iterate what everyone else has said about it being an appreciative memorial to Reagan and his efforts to soften communism and end the cold war, but I will re-emphasise what people have said regarding...More
