We were on a Viking Danube River cruise, the first evening we cruised the city waterfront, all with beautiful lights, unforgettable experience!

Stunning vista for its full length thro the city, a boat trip is a must to see the best of its bridges and all the stunning buildings along its banks.

We didn't take any boat but just a long walk along the River to finish at the chain bridge when we stopped for a beer. Nice walking but even better with a bicycle. We will try next time!

The various buildings that can be seem from the river add a majestic feel to the river. If possible take a Night Lights ride on the river to fully appreciate the number of buildings.

The Danube river is simply beautiful at Budapest. Several bridges cross it from Pest to Buda. Lovely churches and of course the Parliament building on the edge of the river. Lovely at night with everything lit up. I took a river cruise up and down...More

It's best enjoyed with a cruise at sunset, but also be sure to walk along during the daytime. The view across the river of Buda is one of the best in the city!

I olways wonder the Parlament building when my way is there specialy evening when the lights are on. I red that the Parlament has 365 towers which equel with the days of the year. Parlamet is the real crown of the Danube in Budapest.

For short visitors what is budapest .. it is just danube and its mesmerising surroundings between chain bridge and liberty bridge. Danube is picturesque in day time and out of the world in night . A must for tourist on jet visits .

No trip to Budapest is complete without a night cruise down the Danube. The city is absolutely enchanting from the water as the warm lights glow on the river. Guys if you're looking to romance your lady; if this doesn't do it, nothing will !!!

My travel companion and i really enjoyed exploring Budapest. From Roman ruins to ancient Turkish baths, to Michelin starred dining. This is a city with something for everyone.

We sailed from the Black Sea to Passau and could go no further west due to low water level. We were on the Danube Aug 26 to Sept 17.
