The domed neo-Gothic structre was inspired by the British House of Parliament and serves as both a vibrant government center and a proud city landmark on the banks of the Danube.

This is an impressive area. Many statues in Monument around the area. I was there for The Changing of the Guard. Afterwards they invited everyone to come visit and have pictures with the soldiers. It was very friendly atmosphere.

The Hungarian parliament building was absolutely stunning with gold leaf on the roof and the crown jewels inside. The outside is stunning but the inside is even more so. Can only visit with a guided tour.

Look very similar to the houses of parliament. Is a nice walk along the river to get there and good area to take a couple of snaps.

with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The
Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica
stand out as two of the finest examples of
architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for
more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval
city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while
the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention

just an after thought, I see what people are saying, but Hungary is much more than Budapest. If your here for five days try Eger, Gyor or some of the other towns and villages. They are all beautiful

there is a small museum to the side you can see for free - but you don't really get to see any of the interesting parts of the building in there..
