The domed neo-Gothic structre was inspired by the British House of Parliament and serves as both a vibrant government center and a proud city landmark on the banks of the Danube.

What a beautiful building from the outside. Unfortunately we didn't have time to go inside. So so pretty during day and night

If you ever visited budapest you must have a good walk around the parliament. Under it there is a very nice souvenir shop.

I'm glad I saw the building and its contents including the jeweled crown. The guided tour however was full of numbers and data like "how big the carpet is" or "how many steps are in the stairway " the audio system barely works and the...More

Great views and spectacular building. Not a great deal else to do to be honest but a nice tick in the box.

I highly recommend a tour of the Parliament building. Remember to book in advance as they have a limited number of tickets available on the day.

Would recommend an earlier tour to avoid large groups. The decoration inside is stunning and the centre offers various languages giving the history of the building and area.

District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube,
with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The
Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica
stand out as two of the finest examples of
architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for
more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval
city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while
the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention

Well, that’s just if you go inside. You need to book at least one day before to get in the parliament and of course the visit is guided, so I don’t think you have an option.
