I walked over the Margaret (Margit) Bridge several times during my trip in Budapest. I found getting there before sunrise time provided better opportunities for photography. Unfortunately, the parliament building is no longer lit after midnight, but if you walk towards the Buda side and...More

beautiful Bridge, very nice in the night with very nice access to the Danube and a beautiful viewpoint is the end of the island, regretting that there are no steps and the access is quite steep and in wet weather, it's probably slippery to take...More

It's really nice to walk over the bridge any time of the year. You can get a really good view of all Budapest, and the Danube. If you can get there when the Danube is low, you can walk under the bridge and get some...More

Margaret Bridge (or Margit hid) looked very nice with his goden looks, also the Parliament building looks very nice when crossing it. Second-oldest bridge in Budapest was nicely restored in 2011.

The old 1876 Margaret bridge was beautifully restored and improved. In 2011 the work was successfully completed. Now also cyclists and pedestrians can cross the Danube here safely, beside public transport (tram) and cars. I wondered why the bridge has this peculiar curve and understood...More

The Magrit Hid (Margaret Bridge) is a useful route into Buda by tram from Pest and provides access to the island. The island is mostly an excuse for exercise.

This is one of Budapest's numerous iconic bridges across the Danube River, and giving you access to Margaret Island. Interestingly the bridge does not go straight across the river - it has a bend in it. It is nice walking along the river and across...More
