The cathedral is beautifully ornate and has some lovely artwork displayed. Far from the cold religious houses one might imagine, St Nicholas is inviting and has a happy atmosphere

Frankly - as captivating as the Sisteine chapel ceiling and chapel ceilings in the beautiful orthodox churches of Russia. Stay for a service and enjoy the spirit! God Bless you!

This was one beautiful cathedral that we visited while in Europe. It was once a Gothic church in the early 18th century but was replaced with a Baroque building. It was consecrated in 1707.

Very understated on the exterior except for its huge bronze doors the interior of this church was a huge surprise, it was gorgeous! Truly one of the most beautiful I had seen on my trip through Eastern Europe! Do go in!

This is quite a spectacular cathedral that our guide told us all about. The wooden old doors tell an amazing story.
