It is a really amazing place. If you entered this cathedral, you could feel something special. In my case, I am not Catholic but I could feel peaceful. There are a huge pipe organ and many seats where you can pray in this cathedral. Fortunately,...More

Very beautiful interior and wheelchair accessible. The heavy bronze entrance / exit gates are remarkable. Lots of rich gilding inside, and some wonderful load organ music playing during my visit.

It's not that impressive from the outside (after seeing all the wonderful churches in Europe you tend to be too hard-to-please!) But once you step through the massive bronze doors (recent additions from Pope John Paul II's visit in 1992). Wondrous frescoes and artwork welcome...More

Another city landmark. Seems a popular stop with tour groups as well. Take a few minutes to walk round outside and then visit the stunning interior.

Very beautiful interior and very ornately decorated. Worth the visit and walking around it. Also very interesting decorations on the exteriors of the doors.

The bronze door is the usual talking point But if you get the chance do go inside. Obviously it is not open to tourists during services. But if you get to see the magnificant interior. Just stunning

If you have traveled throughout Europe, you tend to get underwhelmed after visiting so many amazing cathedrals but this one is beautiful. It is the main Cathedral for the Catholic Church in Slovenia. It is done in a Baroque style and the frescos are stunning....More

One of the most beautiful Cathedrals we have visited. There is so much to see you don’t know where to look first. The Cathedral was built in the early 1700’s and the frescoes by Giulio Quaglio which adorn the ceiling are amazing as is the...More

The much discussed and frequently reviewed doors can, happily, be enjoyed anytime of the day or night. When we first arrived, they were celebrating mass so our visit was short. We retuned the next day and were able to sit and soak in the total...More

I don't think so. I visited the church during service so we had to stand behind a glass wall. When the church is not in use for service I guess you can move around inside. Take a look at the fantastic, metal door. The nose... More
