Just around the corner from the Qubus Hotel is the Coliseum Jazz Club. Went on a Wednesday evening and the live music was more middle of the road than jazz, but none the less enjoyable for that. Being in a cellar the acoustics were good.

We'd already eaten a large lunch so a snack of some filo wrapped prawns to go with our local beer was just the ticket. I'd certainly visit again.

The best live Jazz in Wroclaw
Mar 2014 • Friends
On a recent stay in Wroclaw I was looking for live Jazz to enjoy with my wife and two friends. Some research via some Polish colleagues suggested this venue. It's fairly hard to find, and just outside of the main old town, but well worth tracking down. It is under ground, below the semi-circular pallisades at Partisan Hill - and being a cellar, it's great for live jazz.
We went on a Saturday night and fortunately for us there was plenty of space available. The bar is good, prices are reasonable, and the owner/bar tender knows how to make a good cocktail. Entrance fee is 5zloty (so, that's £1).
The music was the main attraction, and was quite simply extraordinary. Those jazzsmiths were the coolest cats in town, and were laying down the smoothest jazz I've heard for a long time. Easy listening, but toe-tappingly up-tempo. Highly skilled, and none of that 'difficult to appreciate' modern jazz. Maybe a little too much brass at times, but overall absolutely fantastic.
If you like live jazz, take a 10min stroll out of town and do yourself a favour.
PS - the bloody marys are very good.
