Great place to learn to ski
Dec 2019 • Family
We visited Zakopane and Nosal happened to be the closest lift to our air Bnb so I booked lessons here. We had 2 groups of adults and a kids lesson (5,3yrs) and all of the instructors were excellent. They were friendly patient and very supportive especially considering we were at very different ability levels.
We thoroughly enjoyed our days at Nosal and would come back again if visiting Zakopane.

Beautiful park with great trails. We had a nice hike here. Lots of people there on the weekend. Our trail followed along a riverbed which was just lovely. Well marked paths. Some parking on site and a small entrance fee.

Great place for beginners, four or five short slopes, loads of instructors. Food is good too. Plenty of Equipment hire places nearby.

1st Family skiing holiday

We went 2 adults 2 children to Nosal Ski school and had a private lesson for 1 adult and 2 children, which was excellent. Michał Stoch was the instructed and he was very nice cool young guy. The hire of ski boots, helmets, poles for me was very reasonable and the ski pass also reasonable (all 3 things paid for separately) but all at the same facility. We prebooked the skiing lessons szkolastrama@nosal.pl and everything was paid for in cash on the day: Ski passes for 4 was 180 zsolty + equipment hire 100 zsolty + lessons 260 zsolty so a total of 540 zsolty for 4 people (2 hours each) seems to be good value to me. The slope had pull along lifts each side and the slope wasn't too steep. It was February half term holiday and was a little busy at times on the nursery slope but we all enjoyed it and want to go back next year.

Excellent place to learn to ski. Plenty of places for cheap ski hire and equipment just outside nosal ski centre 25 Zloty for all day. Ski pass a little expensive 90 Zloty for the day. But overall and exceptional place to learn for young and old. We also had a trip to bialka ski centre which catered for everyone and also a dip in the therma pool which is a must after a days skiing. It was a little busy but you can go to the relaxation pool which has a swim up bar. You pay for drinks on the way out it is charged to your wrist band but drinks are expensive.

Ok, not quite true.

Nosal is one of the few really adequate places for beginners to learn to ski. A green and 3/4 other little blue slopes make a great nursery for the first time skier. Although what I would say is in comparison to other slopes in the area your ski time (length of the slopes) to the price of the pass is high, but the other slopes really aren’t so accommodating to learn on and often have a lot of other experienced skiers joining the slopes from much harder slopes above.
Unfortunately, everyone loves using a beginner as a slalom pole, myself included.

I only talk about price comparison to other slopes in Zakopane, and by no means the rest of the world, which is 400-1000% higher in terms of cost.

1 run is 2.2zl that’s about 0.5€, for someone with experience they can be down in about 10 seconds, for the beginners 1-2 minutes. That’s not a lot of time to learn in. I’d say it’s not the best slope ever to learn in, but they are trying to make the most of what they have.

The artificial snow ensures good coverage, but the low height of the slope (at town level) meant warmer temperatures caused ice to form and made it a lot harder for a nervous newbie to learn. As soon as my friend got a little confident we straight away moved to another slope with much more and softer snow giving her the confidence to jump onto a blue slope knots immediately.

Fries were less that 2€ as was the beer (Pivo) and the hot wine coming in at €3, cant fault those prices for on slope eating and drinking.

Recommend spending a full day there then moving to another resort with blues where you can spend a good 5-10 minutes skiing per run.

As for ski hire, I cannot recommend a good outcome. I chose an offsite ski centre around 50m from the slope and ended up paying 20zl a day, that’s around 15-20zl less than the on-site ski center, but I got what I paid for, unfriendly staff and poorly maintained skis that would of made learning a little harder.

I am an experienced skier who visited this center with a complete novice on her first time ski holiday.

Me as beginner enjoyed the mountain but not much to do for more experienced.
The cue to ski lifts was really long and very chaotic, no rules etc so it made this experince unpleasant. Should be more rules in place to make sure the cue will go faster and no "cheaters" trying to skip the cue.

Perfect facility for beginners. Not too overcrowded, lots of really good instructors around. Easy access and the hot chocolate and the soup in the cafe are 👍👍👍

Ski lift operators shouldn’t work with children!!!
Feb 2019 • Family
We had a mixed experience in Zakopane that I felt I had to share. Our ski instructor was amazing as were the hotel and staff, however I have never in all my life experienced such a abusive and simply horrible bunch of people at the Nosal Ski Lifts. They shouted at my six year old daughter, were rough picking her up to the extent that my 6 year old baby said “ daddy I’m trying why is being so mean to me”
This is not the place I would recommend for
People with children as they clearly don’t have the patience to deal with beginners yet they operate an nursery slope!!!

Nice enough slope for a beginner
Feb 2019 • Friends
Slope was good enough for a beginner. A little busy in the morning but afternoon/evening quietens down. The ski school is a pile of crap though. YouTube was much more helpful.
