I've always liked this pier a lot - it's not as crowded as the one in Sopot, it's located in the pretty area, there is always some coffee stand nearby and you can start many interesting walks from there - or just sit down and enjoy the view!

I walked through Rwdlowo woods and along the beach to reach Orlowo pier. Although the paths through the woods require watching and the signage is minimal, the walk along the beach was very relaxing but slow going. Both the woods and the beach were among the highlights of my stay in Gdansk. Three odd feature of that walk were: firstly, seeing evidence of fires lit using forest wood on the beach and people scrambling through the fragile root systems of the cliff side trees; secondly, the woods are full of birds (woodpeckers... etc) and animals (I even saw a boar and her piglets feasting of windfall apples near where I was staying); thirdly, innumerable couples hold photo sessions after their wedding near the pier... which is either endearing or annoying depending on your point of view!…

Great walking area anytime of the year. Always less crowded than Sopot:-) I love to run between the peers
