I stopped by this church on my visit to Gdansk earlier this week. This church is the most original of those in Gdansk, and I would wager the most beautiful. Be sure to see it!

I went in then turned around. It was so commercial. It was pretty but really nothing special enough to fight the crowds.

For me, St Nicks outclassed the BASILICA OF ST. MARY. As soon as you walk in, it's awe inspiring. Beautiful architecture. Serenely beautiful!

Well worth a visit. Wasn’t destroyed completely during the war. Have a good look around 20-30 mins. We loved it.

Very beautiful church, one of the oldest in Gdansk, escaped WWII bombings as for Russians St.Nicholas is highly regarded in the Orthodox tradition. Very richly decorated, black-and-gold altars. Free to visit.

Worth visiting and looking round as you check out the city centre. Time to get away from the crowds and have some refelction time on the restoratiob after WW2.

Only church in Gdansk that was not destroyed during the war as it is named after patron saint of Russia. Descriptions of the many altars are in English.

No, the only obstacle is that is not very wise to go inside during a holy mass unless you came to pray.
