Address
Neighbourhood: Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.

Something Different
May 2019 • Friends
I wanted to feel like in the 1800s that’s when I decided to accept my friends idea, to watch Don Giovanni from Mozart. It was very special, funny, and different activity!
To whom like different things, that’s the place! The scenario and effects of the show is pretty nice! P.s. It was an Opera in Italian.

Such a surprise!

I went to see Don Giovanni recently, only knowing it would be performed by marionettes and, to be honest, not with high expectations. However, we were all so surprised at what an entertaining show it proved to be and the skill and timing of the puppeteers was amazing. This is probably not a venue for the serious opera buff, but we were thoroughly amused and entertained. Be warned, the wooden seats are very hard! Our party were given (Ikea) cushions which proved to be very welcome.

NO LONGER IN BUSINESS!
May 2018 • Couples
It looks like the reviewers are getting this location confused with the Don Giovanni Theater which is on the other side of town. This particular theater is closed and has been for some time. They no longer do any shows here. They still have the photos up from the show but no one manages it anymore (we know for a fact as we tried to go at the "allotted time" - shows used to be at 7 and 9 and a local told us so after we had asked about the show.) So some of the photos that are attached here are actually for the other theater. Just an FYI.

Cute Marionette Show
Jan 2018 • Family
We took our three young children to see the Don Giovanni show. It was quite long but entertaining. They have a short intermission in the middle to give you a little break. Our kids really enjoyed the show and it was their favorite thing we did in Prague. The only negative is the seats are old and not very comfortable.

Fun but long
Apr 2018 • Couples
Good show (Don Giovanni) which was done with a good degree of humour and self awareness. It was heavily truncated but still would have been better as one act rather than two (they must be rather limited by the length of the music / story telling confines). The second act was mostly a commentary on it feeling a bit long, but with so much self awareness and humour the audience ran with it). I enjoyed it.

Worst experience in theater
Aug 2017 • Couples
I am no snob but I have been to my fair share of theaters and thought I would try something a little different. I took my girlfriend to see this show which I regret as it was a complete waste of time and money.

We came there thinking atleast there would be a hint of live music but everything was prerecorded. Which set the mood and tone. To this end there were a few people who enjoyed it which for the life of me we couldn't understand but there were also people who fell asleep, some of them right next to us.

All in all the worst theater experience I've had anywhere in the world. Highly over priced even for tourists.

Funny and nice!

The puppet show is mastered and enjoyable; Mozart’s masterpieces were played back (some good quality sound - not the best -) Don Giovanni is a funny show!

A delightful and unusual experience.

We saw the Mozart's Magic Flute. The puppets and puppeteers are amazing and the scenery is beautiful. The theatre is very intimate and it is incredible to think that children's shows carried on there all through the communist era. It's is well worth a visit. I didn't find the seats hard as others seem to have done. They are certainly more comfortable than a church pew! The performance is only an hour. I went with my husband and 20 year old son and we all enjoyed it. The audience were mainly adults rather than children.

A pretty good experience to learn a little from the marionette art.

See a performance at Mozart's work. The theater is old and the seats are not so comfortable. There is a small shop that you can buy marionettes.

Marionette museum tour
Jun 2017 • Friends
Started with a film explaining the history of the place and then had a tour of the stage, got to hold the marionettes and got a tour of the small museum. Took about 50 minutes in total and we really liked it. There wasn't many people there unfortunately. Highly recommend this tour!
