Visited the Museum of West Bohemia in Plzen and discovered many wonderful exhibits of glassware, armory and ceramics. Various exhibitions are supported by touch screen technology in a number of languages. The most disappointing aspect of these exhibitions was that not every touch screen worked...More

It was difficult to order tickets. Nobody speaks english and credit cards are not accepted, only cache. We were there to see the armory collection, but it was not so impressive. My personal opinion - try with any other museum.

It is very difficult getting around without speaking Czech, since everything is mainly documented in Czech. This is very surprising since the museum is sponsored by the EU. It deserves more stars, which will be given, once it is truly multi-lingual.

The museum has a stunning range of displays- including the armoury - but the Prehistoric Archaeology galleries are knock out- the material on display is outstanding especially if you want to understand central european prehistory. Apart from the artefacts-which are beautifully displayed- there are several...More
