We came across the priory while we were wandering around before a brewery visit to the Three Daggers Brewery just round the corner. A charming place well worth going out of your way to find.

Originally a priory, it escaped Henty VIII's depredations by becoming the parish church. It retains some original tombs, and is well worth a visit if you are interested in transitional architectural style.

This church lies below the site of the last Battle between the Danes and the English forces. The building is a oasis of quiet. The Festival during August it is a pleasure to hear the amazing choirs perform in this church, the acoustics are superb..
