Wow! This is one of my favorite things we did in Maui! I love the natural beauty of Maui and this is exactly that. The trail was a lot harder than I was expecting...not impossible, just prepare yourself for a good hike. I did research...More

Thank you to everyone who posted these helpful reviews. We did the hike this morning and it was very challenging but also one of our top activities for this trip. Only thing I have to add is that we missed the turn into the park...More

This was one of our favorite activities. Serious 2 1/2 mi uphill hike. Great views if it's not too cloudy. We had enough cloud coverage and breeze to keep us from getting too hot. You're up there near where some helicopter tours fly. There was...More

We did this trail for the second time and the view still blew us away. The best view is at the scenic lookout (a little over a mile up). A few tips... 1. Bring water - it gets very steamy 2. Wear good shoes -...More

Simply beautiful! You have access to the most « typical view » you hope to see when coming to Hawaii : green mountain sculpted by old volcanic activities. It asks some effort because it’s a constant ascent (2 miles) and then you go down (same 2 miles)...More

A great trail to see magnificent ocean views, amazing lookouts onto lush valleys and some rather posh real estate. Not a beginner hike; the first section is a paved, rather steep incline, but afterwards it levels out to a more gradual slope. Parking is limited,...More

Moderate Hike in good weather, but if is wet( it usually is) the descent can be somewhat difficult and muddy. Great views when the clouds clear. It took us about 3 hours not counting the 2 hour drive from Lahaina. We were all pretty muddy by...More

We did this hike but it is very muddy which makes some areas slippery. When we hiked there were a lot of clouds and we couldnt see the real views that people talk about.

It is the ultimate Maui hike. From this trail you see the lush beautiful sites of Maui that are shown in books and magazines. The terrain is tougher than first thought and after a rain the mud can be an issue. We fell a few...More
