We were part of a group with Gate1 travel and this was a stop on the way to Otavalo which is nearby. Access to the fall is through a native hamlet with much history and then we followed well maintained and clean cobble stone path...More

The Peguche waterfall is walking distance or a very inexpensive taxi ride from Otavalo, yet one feels truly outside of town. It’s simply beautiful and tranquil, with the very pleasant aroma of eucalyptus permeating throughout. I recommend going during the week when there are fewer...More

The hike to this waterfall is enjoyable. We enjoyed the waterfall itself, is was quite beautiful. You can take a bus from, and back to Otavalo.

This is a nice waterfall in Otavalo. The walk is nice and short so it is fairly easy to access the waterfall. We visited on a Sunday so there were alot of locals there. Certainly a nice place to take the family.

This is a nice waterfall but it is nothing very dramatic or unusual. It seems geared to locals and does provide them with a fine campground, picnic area, and swimming hole. You can hike up on the side of the falls to overlooks on either...More

A nice steady walk through the rain forest to the beautiful waterfall. It was a national holiday on the day I visited so it was quite busy, but the scenery was amazing and there was a lovely little local market at the start of the...More

This waterfall is one of other waterfalls that you can visit in near Ibarra but it is one that is very easy to get to. It is a beautiful area to walk in so it is so much more than seeing the waterfall. It has...More

Beautiful waterfall you can walk to 2 points of views. There is a alternative camping community not that far with proposé healing energy work. So it's also a spiritual place. The path is pretty too

You could get a taxi, it would probably cost you $5.00. Walking is far an the bus would leave you in the road where you would still need to walk. Either way, the route is from the market towards the Panamericana road via... More
