Very crowded family spot. Tons of people taking selfies. But people believe these waters to be spiritually powerful. Worth the trip on a weekend for the view and the market area leading up to it.

This FREE park is located very near the Otavalo center, but feels light years distant. If you're visiting Otavalo, it's certainly worth the short car ride to see it. The first thing you encounter just before entering the park is a giant solar calendar. (Lots...More

We stopped here as part of our Gate 1 tour. It was an easy hike to the waterfall. You could then hike up a bit higher for a better view. We went in the morning and there were no crowds.

Beautiful waterfall! Unfortunately, we were there for a photo shoot and the kids in the region had a massive field trip here. But realize it is a scenic area, so that’s expected.

It's about a 20 minute, relatively easy walk, through a eucalyptus forest to the waterfall. Definitely worth a quick stop.

People stand above the walk way and heave buckets of water on you relentlessly and there is no crowd control.

We went there as a part of our tour to Otavalo. Nice addition to the day trip. A relaxing short walk will take you on a pebble road through Eucalyptus trees, ending at the waterfall. We saw some camping spots on the way. Would be...More

After being in the bustle of the market a wonderful place to relax. A very easy walk! Highly recommend prior to heading back to Quito.

This waterfall is just outside of Peguche which is next to Otavalo. I walked from Otavalo but you can take a bus or taxi. Worth the walk as you move into a rainforest in the middle of a green valley

You could get a taxi, it would probably cost you $5.00. Walking is far an the bus would leave you in the road where you would still need to walk. Either way, the route is from the market towards the Panamericana road via... More
