This is my favorite museum of art, anywhere. The setting is absolutely magic, the staff are marvellous, and the paintings of Fernando Zobel! His paintings are like dreams. You fall into them and never want to leave. Well worth a visit!

Our expectations were much higher, not to say that we were dissappointed, as nothing special or exciting to us... The only positive thing to us was that the museo was integrated within the "hanging houses", which are a tourist attraction on their own. Entrance is...More

It was our first experience of an abstract art museum and it was great. The entry was free. The museum is a hanging house based on the edge of the hills. It was beautiful and we would recommend visiting this place.

This beautiful museum of Spanish Abstract Art was founded by the Filipino-Spanish artist Fernando Zobel and is established in a "hanging" house in the charming historic town of Cuenca. The exterior blends in with the "old town" feel of Cuenca but the interior is contemporary...More

Driving from Valencia to Madrid, you have no idea of what you will soon experience in Cuenca. The Museo is literally "perched" on a cliff known as the "hanging houses." It is the former home of mid-15th century, canon Gonzalo Gonzalez de Canamares and is...More

The sleepy town of Cuenca reinvented itself as a destination of art. Numerous art museums and galleries are located in such a small and remote town. This cantilevered house, which is the symbol and image of Cuenca, is where the movement towards art started here....More
