Very interesting visit, especially at the museum at the entrance, explaining the history etc. Then the different buildings and churches etc outside, in different stages of restoration plus dig sites etc. Quite a long walk all around, but there are plenty of benches for the...More

Another very good place to visit, a lovely walk all around, a step back in time. Again we had the perfect weather, just nicely warm and comfortable for climbing the steps. The search for the geocaches added to the interest for us.

Well worth a visit if you are in Roses. It has a good interior display but the main features are outside where there is only limited shade so best explored early or late if you are going during the summer. The site only has a...More

The Citadel could not be closer to the beach and town centre of Roses, with plenty of car parking nearby if required. This is a large site with a long history and I would suggest you allow a couple of hours to explore it properly,...More

The Citadel was an unexpected feature in our visit to Roses. The site is huge, and mostly consists of ruins and remains, but it is well explained and interesting whether you are a real history enthusiast or not. We aren't but found it fascinating to...More

Spent a few hours here on a cloudy day in Roses. Very interesting site with lots of history and exhibits about the growth and decline of the citadel. You can walk on the walls and there are great views from many of the towers.

An amazing place well laid out and individual signage in each section gives you a valuable insight into the diffrent civilisations that have built and lived there. Entrance cost was very reasonable and included entrance into the museum.
