We visited Wembury Beach whilst on an 11 night holiday in Dartmoor (staying at Walkham Valley Cottages which we also highly recommend) Wembury is a lovely, quiet, small beach with rock pools, some sand and pebbles and great views. We visited in October 2018 with...More

Wembury Beach is on National Trust land, parking charges apply if your not a member. Worth the fee as the view is naturally lovely and the coastal walks both high and low ground are wonderfully invigorating or slow and peaceful dependent on your mood. A...More

There are a lot of stones on this beach so don’t forget your sandals however there are sandy patches for all to enjoy and there is nowhere nicer to be on a hot day than a beach in Devon. Parking was £5 for the day...More

Lovely beach. Great rock pooling at low tide. Mainly sandy but also a bit pebbly. Quite sheltered. Nice cafe and a small beach shop.

National Trust Car Park (£5/day) and nice cafe. Toilets very clean. Beach was lovely. Small and not overcrowded (for Summer). Beach was a mix of sand, seaweed and rocks. I would recommend water shoes. My son loved building sandcastles, looking in the rock pools and...More

My wife wanted to come here as she had used it a lot as a child. It’s a lovely little beach with lots of rock pools, a fresh water stream running across the beach with lots of pebbles for making dams. The old mill cafe...More

Lovely area with amazing coastal walks! It was nice and sunny so we went for a dip in the sea (take silicone beach shoes). Not overcrowded, even in the height of summer. Would recommend the walk to Wembury Point. Watch out for the tall, blonde...More

A lovely beach, with the Great Mewstone the feature of the view. Beach is mainly stoney rather than sand, but not too hard on the feet. Approach road is single track and a bit of a problem.

Great beach with lots to do for everyone. Sand, rockpools, nice loos, good ice cream shop, nice little cafe. But above all, quiet and away from the crowds. Car park can get full pretty quickly as it’s not very big, so get there early.

Walks ate stunning, the one past the church is not for the faint hearted or less fit, walk the other way (past beach) is mainly flat. Park in the church yard (£2) and you don't drive down the very narrow road and pay (£5) nice...More

It is easy to access by car and there are bus routes that go to Wembury. The lanes are narrow but cars don't go too fast as a result. The car park is a decent size and won't be problematic for the car. Wembley beach is a... More
