I visit Wembury a lot. The beach is family friendly and used a lot by locals, and there are often surfers wallowing about off-shore. It's a good place to see cirl buntings, a South Devon specialty, and almost anything can turn up on the strand-line,...More

Visited webury beach today for the first time. National trust managed with toilets, car park and cafe. Car park small so go early. Single width lane access so possible nightmare in peak season. Cafe has about 6 tables inside and another 6 outside. Serves pasties,...More

We visited Wembury Beach whilst on an 11 night holiday in Dartmoor (staying at Walkham Valley Cottages which we also highly recommend) Wembury is a lovely, quiet, small beach with rock pools, some sand and pebbles and great views. We visited in October 2018 with...More

There are a lot of stones on this beach so don’t forget your sandals however there are sandy patches for all to enjoy and there is nowhere nicer to be on a hot day than a beach in Devon. Parking was £5 for the day...More

Lovely beach. Great rock pooling at low tide. Mainly sandy but also a bit pebbly. Quite sheltered. Nice cafe and a small beach shop.

National Trust Car Park (£5/day) and nice cafe. Toilets very clean. Beach was lovely. Small and not overcrowded (for Summer). Beach was a mix of sand, seaweed and rocks. I would recommend water shoes. My son loved building sandcastles, looking in the rock pools and...More
