We were lucky, as while we were down in Middleton Beach, we also got too see a couple of whales, basking with their babies. Was very exciting, as only have ever seen whales on TV. The beach is clean, clear and relaxing.

Bad weather and many seedy men. Empty and cold. Rubbish everywhere

We were lucky because there was one very warm day when we were in Albany. We had ideas to visit other more scenic beaches, but we decided to stay close to our hotel. And we have no regrets. It's a fun beach, whether you're 6...More

Lovely little place. The beach area is good and a great area for children to play. The boardwalk is great to walk and take come lovely photos of the area.

It could be camps bay in Cape Town, or Gordons Bay also in RSA. It feels like a small village in Southern California. But it's also has something unique, that belongs to itself - a relaxed elegance. It's gorgeous, but no one is making a...More

This beach is nice, but not my favourite. There is a lot of dry bamboo on the beach. If you love picking up shells, this is the place to go.

A clean beach with changing facilities close by. There is also a pub there and snack facilities. From the beach there is access to some great walks and picnic tables with great views.

Nothing says Albany more than a stroll along the beach , a walk along the boardwalk , maybe catch a fish or two from the jetty. Children's playground and cafe at hands reach . Well protected from the elements . Top spot

This beautiful expansive beach is located a stones throw from the Albany Town Centre. There is plenty of car parking and lots of both grass and white sandy beach to enjoy. We visited at the start of the season and was still a bit cool,...More

This beach is a lovely local spot that’s close to city centre and is easily accessed. Weather makes it not ideal for swimming in winter but in summer it is a lovely sheltered spot for swimming and has a shark net. Toilet and showering facilities...More

The Ellen Cove Broadwalk follows the coastline from Middleton Beach all the way into the Albany Port in town. Access by foot or by bicycle is reasonably good. It's roughly 6km.
