Very disappointed to find it is actually closed when we arrive there at 3pm. It says the close time is 5pm in Google Map.

Lovely old machinery in original condition. A lot of beautiful weathered railway parts. Highly enthusiastic guide who took us around and told us of the historical significance of the site. Old round house, steam engines, carriages, machines, tools, buildings..... highly recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed the tour provided by Ed with the history of the people and the loco depot. There is so much to see and so much work to maintain a rail museum such as this. Maybe not for everyone but a joy for some one...More

This was well worth visiting seeing all the old trains and carriages. Brought back lots of memories of a distant childhood.

Had a great time strolling around the rail yard. Plenty of history and photo opportunities. I was impressed.

We were quite disappointed in this museum. A lot of rail history going to ruin. They definitely need a lot more help financially to restore the trains as they are literally rotting on the site...such a shame

My elderly father used to clean the old steam engines. He had an absolute ball looking around here! We were the only ones there, so got full attention from the manager who was very informative and helpful!

Extensive collection of railway carriages, engines and assorted work equipment in a railway setting. Restored carriages magnificent, a credit to those responsible

There are plenty of old trains here in various stages of (dis) repair. They are probably doing a great job bringing some of the trains back to life, but the day we were there, a Monday I think, there was not a sole to be...More

Sorry my partner is the train buff and we don't remember. I particularly enjoyed walking through the original carriages.
