The area was not too busy as I went in mid- January. Restaurant at the top of the mountain had the most choice I have ever seen in a top of the mountain restaurant. Nice pistes

Tuition at the Olympic Ski School in Axamer Lizum is excellent and the place is well-managed overall, a short drive from Innsbruck. Relatively small.

This is a good size ski area about 30 minutes drive from Innsbruck, there are are a good range of lifts and runs which should keep most people happy for a days skiing.

Decent skiing area, very nice panoramatic views from the very hill, going up with 'olympicbahn', well maintained slopes. Less places to eat, poor quality food compared to Italian skiing areas.

Take time out to see the place twice in summer and winter. It can be done one is taking a package your from one of the operators
