Very easy beach to hit from DT Las Terrenas. We were running out of time in town so we were able to hit it headed into sunset on our last day there. Street parking, and there IS a outdoor shower to rinse off in if...More

Playa Punta Popy was literally outside of our Airbnb and we initially thought we would just go across the street to sun and sand. Not the case as Playa Popy is slowing eroding. Some of the roadway nestled next to the beach is also eroding...More

Possibly one of the more popular beaches. Small, set up with loungers; a beach restaurant and cocktail bar on the beach. Many expats and long term holidaymakers gather on this well kept beach.

Walk to the point just beyond the Welcome to Las Terrenas sign and the area is wide, you can get lawn chairs for a few dollars each and drinks brought right to you until you say Stop! Good place to spend an afternoon.

This beach is more than big enough for everyone to find their spot in the sun or shade. Easy access by road or a 20 minute beach walk from Centro. Chair rentals were 100 RDS ($2 USD) a day and people sell drinks and food,...More

Playa Punta Popy was not very crowded when we visited. Plenty of room for everyone. There are some trees if you want shade. The beach was very good for swimming. Snorkeling was just ok; some fish but not a whole lot to see.
