The Centre of New Zealand is worth the visit. I was sceptical but pleased that I did it.

Auckland City is quiet during winter but it’s beautiful. There are only a few restaurants open during the evening and aren’t that many restaurants to choose from. Because people don’t go to NZ for it’s nightlife.

I walked from the centre of town along the riverbank to the start of the hill to The Centre of New Zealand. Did not see a car park nearer the hill. It is a pleasant walk from town taking about 40 minutes. It took a further 20 minutes to climb the hill to the centre. Great way to spend a couple of hours, enjoy.
