Bendigo is full of amazing historical buildings from the gold rush of the 1850’s. And it’s gallery is so well supported and has many exhibitions that attract us from our farm 3 hours away it’s a large regional gallery with a very good cafe/restaurant and right in the city centre. Well worth a visit.

A lot of thought and planning goes into the exhibitions. I totally enjoyed what they had on display. It's free but donations are appreciated.

Just got back from visiting the Piinpi Contemporary Indigenous Fashion exhibition at Bendigo Art Gallery. Just gorgeous! The pieces on display were beautiful. We also walked around the rest of the Gallery and saw some very beautiful and, surprisingly old, artwork. It was wonderful to see the works of the Australian bush from the early 1900s. If you’re in Bendigo, it’s a must see.

Art galleries are usually a must see attraction when I visit a town/city due to most being in a central location and being free. This one has the reputation as one of the best in Australia with its frequent exhibitions that are world class. Well worth a visit
