    disc golf!
The gardens are absolutely beautiful and a peaceful place for a sit down in nature. They are very well-kept, and there are plenty of benches and grass space. It's so nice to see groups of people having picnics or even work meetings in the park. My favourite part about the gardens is the disc golf - the course is very well coordinated with a mix of difficulty for a fun game. It seems to be very popular, so it's clear to see that it's enjoyed by many others as well as myself. I have spent hours and hours in these gardens watching the sunset, playing disc golf with friends, and taking a picnic lunch to sit in a little piece of paradise.

    Lovely roses and sculptures
You won’t need much time to walk through it, but worth it. Of course the rose gardens may not be blooming all year long. I loved the wooed carving of the ferns that was supporting a large tree limb! There are tasteful signs asking that dogs be kept on a leash.

    Very pretty with nice paths
The gardens are very pretty and nice to walk around. A path connects down to the city central. We were able to park near the gardens and walk into the city. Parking can be tough to find in the city and the time limits are less than the lot for the gardens. You can park up to 4 hours by the gardens.

These lovely little gardens are a great place to go for a walk, right next to central Queenstown. The lower outer track has amazing views along the lakefront, and in the centre are the formal gardens which are immaculately kept. Keep an eye open for native wood pigeons and Paradise Shelducks which are often around.

If you have a few hours to while away in Queenstown, the Gardens are a lovely place to do it.
Most of the walk is around the lake with incredible views of the magic scenery.
Lots of places to stop for a quiet moment or snap some amazing pics.
Not a ‘formal garden’ with lots of information but more a family friendly open space with the occasional sculpture.
Definitely worth a wander… or a run if that’s your thing.

A very nice garden. We had a quiet walk around the park, with beautiful views across the lake and mountains. A lot of interesting trees and plants, which surely will be even more beautiful during spring and summer (we were there in the winter).

The Queenstown Garden is a nice way to spend a free afternoon. Autumn colors were abundant in April and people were enjoying the park with their pets or playing tennis. I love that there are fountains to fill your water bottles and various art sculptures and benches throughout the park.

Admission is free and seems to be open all hours. It seems meant to be a place for everyone to enjoy. The paths have benches, frequently. Lots of tree specimens. Rose garden (not in bloom when I visited). Sports field. Skate park. Pond and ducks. Wonderful views of the lake and mountains and Queenstown.

A wonderful place to stroll and enjoy the views of the city and Lake Wakatipu from another angle. Quiet, peaceful and serene. Roses were in bloom.
