Found by accident walking the many tracks and paths in Queenstown. Lots of history at this little spot and awesome too see people putting so much energy (no pun intended) into its restoration. Very well maintained track and an easy walk from the main road....More

Its a nice short shady walk on a well maintained path. A look inside through the glass is interesting, as are the information signs outside that tell the history of the power house

If you're near the roundabout, walk up the path for a few minutes to see the power house, with machinery that you can see through the windows and a few placards telling the story. Interesting story.

A cool stop if you have a little extra time! Definitely worth the short walk to see such an integral part of Queenstown's and New Zealand's history.

An old power house (using electricity to produce water, before 1900), renovated, nice to take a look at.. very close to town, you can do that during a quick walk or a run around town. Some useful information too

A great little side walk, for those interested in a bit of the area's settlement history. The Powerhouse has been done up so that visitors can see the restored equipment. Only a couple of minutes from the main road, yet a tranquil setting.

Just a few minutes walk from downtown. Follow the stream to the open green glade and the power house. Feel like you are away from it all. Connects to the one mile trail too.

Pleasant walk up the path from the main road out of Queenstown, up to the Power House. Would have been nice to go inside, rather than just peer through the windows. Could do with a public convenience and maybe even a mobile drinks van near...More
