Easy hike, longer than your short 1-2 hour hikes, but all easy terrain (mind you be careful not to slip when dewy or after rain as it can be muddy in patches) that i clearly marked out - you won't get lost.

Park up walk along the sand next to the sea for miles right around the bay. Loads of birds to watch as well as the odd surfer.

This is stunning spot to get overview of Christchurch city and the Canterbury plains. Also great to roam and go for extended walk.

I love this place, whether it be for a picnic/bbq or just to sit and admire the view. There is a walkway that takes you past old gun replacements from long ago.

Did a fun mountain bike loop ride beginning with parking at Taylor's Mistake, up Evan's pass, and then took the Godly Head track for some stunning views and solitude. There was NOBODY out there! Sweet AS! Came back and descended the Anaconda track. Good times!

Sorry just seeing your question. Hope I can help. Depends of course on how fast you want. But generally if you give yourself two hours that's a good estimate. I wouldn't recommend a mountain buggy pram. If you have a pack I... More

Hi. I'm not sure that we did the whole thing. It was a loop and took about an hour going at a leisurely pace and stopping along the way to look at the old WWII gun emplacements and observation bunkers. It's really... More
