K road feels more authentic than Queen Street for example, without the Prada's and Gucci's, a melting pot of culture, class and status - there is something here for everyone. I wouldn't walk alone at night however and felt safer with my boyfriend around. Nice...More

K Road has traditionally been the seedy, louche side of Auckland for decades. I can remember my mum telling how, as a young woman during the War, a policeman approached her on K Rd one night and advised her to leave due to the dangers...More

I googled 'red light district in Auckland' and 'K'Road' showed up. I walked along K'Road in the broad day light and there were lots of small grocery shops, eateries and cafes. Recommended to check it out.

Visited K-Road a couple times, great shops for the day time and few great restaurants and bars for the night. Night little strip with a bit of everything.

K Road as it is known for short is supposed to be a funky part of the city with strip clubs and night clubs. I took a walk there early in the evening but it was relatively quiet as I might not have gotten there...More

There’s many shops that offer adult entertainment, toys if you’re feeling kinky. Many “decent” shops don’t open till late so if you’re gonna be here by six, then you’re more likely to to be greeted with disappointment. :-)

This street is very different that any other street in Auckland. I love the big variety of shops and cultures. Very colorful and unusual as well. It is definitely worth strolling around if you have the chance.

K road is interesting with an eclectic mix of shops and restaurants. It is on the Auckland city bus inner link, although we chose to walk all the way from Ponsonby to the Museum via K Road.
