We went to Sylvia Park and did some Christmas shopping, Sylvia Park is based in Mt Wellington, and is the largest shopping centre in Auckland. You can see most popular brands here. There is one multicultural food court and one cinema.

If you like the one-stop-shop of a destination where you can park up and find most things in one location, then Sylvia Park is for you. They also have some of the rarer finds such as Zara and H&M that you won't find many other...More

This is evidently Auckland's largest mall, and it was both distinctive and impressive. I spent but a few minutes here. Most of us have malls where we come from. Why visit them abroad?

I admit we haven't been this kind of restaurant much. Maybe the old style ones you see in the States where expect to get big crispy tacos, burritos and refried beans. Hearty food! What you get here does not fit that image. Nice location, nice...More

Yes you can get a bus from the city but suggest you get a train instead from Britamart (in the city at the end of Queen street at the sea end) as there is a train station at the shopping centre. Would be about 20 min max.
