Take your time there is a lot to read and take in, staff are very friendly and informative and they have a lot to tell, a good place to wander around out of the rain and cold.

Comprehensively covers Douglas Mawsons' adventures in the Antarctic. It was surprising how cosy and comfortable the accommodation seemed to be, but then again we did visit on a warm, nearly sunny day. Well worth a visit if you are into Antarctic history and adventure.

A fascinating small museum which is a full scale reproduction of Mawsons hut Antarctica The displays are well presented and the passion and depth of knowledge generously provided by the staff was very much appreciated Best to allow at least one hour if possible
