The two night getaway allowed enough time to explore the river and bays, while experiencing and participating in sailing a square rig historic vessel. At anchor overnight in a peaceful bay is a delight. The volunteer crew and fellow passengers were very good company, and...More

What was so good about this journey was that from the very start, the dedicated volunteers drew us into helping sail the boat, so it was a training but without pressure or stress. They were patient, but it was serious work and you felt useful...More

A wonderful 90 minute experience where you can actually be a part of it all by steering or hoisting sails! Definitely worth doing.

I'm no sailor, but I am interested in sailing ships of the early 1800s. The Lady Nelson morning sail was excellent value. The crew were friendly. The host, Maureen was knowledgable and approachable. The Lady Nelson itself is in immaculate condition. I was even invited...More

The ship in the harbour at Elizabeth Street Pier (beside Fish Frenzy, which is where you should be having lunch) is a replica of the original The Lady Nelson. Definitely worth a look if you have the time and desire to see and touch it.

Today enjoyed a sail on Lake Victoria, Paynesville, Victoria. Even though the day was not favoured with ideal wind the day was excellent. The crew were helpful and friendly, happy to answer questions. A great experience to feel a little history.

The Lady Nelson is a beautiful replica of a late 1700s ship that sailed all the way from England to Tasmania on a cartography mission. It came to the end of its life when it was attacked by pirates in Indonesia, but thanks to an...More

We had a wonderful 90 minute cruise with our family group of 9 - aged 11 to 73 years. Friendly crew, great fun, a chance to participate in helping the crew, stunning views… we couldn’t be happier. Highly recommended
