The best views ever to see all of Hobart high up above the town, great place to keep your fitness up if you like hiking.

Ive visited the mount a few times now - but this time was easily the best. Was a nice fine day and the views were outstanding. It had snowed the day before so there was still snow on the ground. Only drawback is the road...More

This was one of highlights from my visit to Hobart. Definitely pack a jacket, even if it is quite warm in the city. It can be very chilly at the top!

We got a bus to the top and walked back down. Highly recommended. There are lots of great tracks and many for mountain biking.

Amazing views and wild looking landscapes. They have done a great job here putting in a viewing room to get people out of the weather. We arrived and it was clear and sunny and within a few short minutes it started sleeting, almost snowing with...More

There is no issue of driving up if there is no bad weather where the road will be closed, spacious and many parking lots. Just follow signs on one way while up there.

I’m not sure about October to be honest but I think I would pack a warm jacket as Mount Wellington is about 10 degrees colder than Hobart itself as it is up so high. A spectacular view.
