We visited this beach for 4 consecutive days over Easter and were the only ones there. Snorkelling on the small reef was very good, although current is strong so only good for experienced snorkellers. My son took his kite-surf and every afternoon the wind was perfect. We picked up a couple of bags of plastic that had washed up on the northern end of the beach which is a shame but it's arrived there from elsewhere on the currents and it looks pretty good now!

Wreck beach has clear waters and probably the best reef at kepple. We saw giant clams, sea cucumbers and lots of fish. Even thought it’s amazing it has loads of sea lice.

We took a jetski tour with Great Keppel Island Adventures - highly recommend them! We snorkelled a the southern end of Wreck Beach. Coral, stringray & reef fish were seen. Great experience.

We hiked to this beach from Fishermans Beach which took about 2.5 hours, and reached there via Svendsen's Beach and the sand dunes from Butterfish Bay. This isn't really a track, but more so mountain goat track but follow the sound of the ocean and you'll be right.
On the return journey we joined up to the track that leads to the lighthouse and found this to be the best option rather than doing the whole journey the reverse way.
There was no one on Wreck, but a big washed up fishing net. It's not as calm like the sheltered and protected beaches when you jump off the ferry. So it was quite rough on the day we saw, but it has the same amazing calming blue to wash over you.
We climbed the cliff face at the southern end of the beach and followed the white painted rocks up the hill with the goats.
There isn't a lot of signage along the walking tracks on the island which is really disappointing for those who want to see more than a bar against a beautiful sandy backdrop.
So take plenty of water and wear hiking/walking boots. Take a stop at the homestead and venture inside to see the local possum residents. The round trip took us just under 5 hours but it was a great day out and chances are you'll be on the walking tracks alone so there's nothing else to spoil your adventure.
