We spent a delightful hour visiting this beautiful Heritage listed house. That is probably enough time. Our guide, Janet provided a personal tour to us and explained all the hidden mysteries in this old house. Lovely to hear about the early days of Brisbane.

Our visit was the setting for a beautiful afternoon wedding. The weather was glorious, a band entertained from the veranda and the music floated to the guests spread around the garden. This is a wonderful pioneer homestead with particular attention to women's history. A tour...More

Very interesting place. The caretakers of this historic home are doing a great job in restoring and managing this historic home. A discussion with members of committee was also very informative about the local area.

When looking for something historical to do in Brisbane I came across Miegunyah House. After a quick 10 minute bus ride from the CBD and a small entrance fee we strolled through this beautiful 19th century house. We found that 1 hour was plenty. History...More

Of course I do like historic homes and this is a great example of an 1885 Brisbane historic home. There is a modest entrance fee which also covers the cost of informative volunteers who help guide you around the house. Plenty of period pieces to...More

Miegunyah is the gracious Victorian home of the wealthy Perry family and it gives a very good idea of how people lived in those times in Brisbane. We had a tour which went for about half an hour, not expensive and our guide was knowledgeable...More

Hi Ben, In a house as old as Miegunyah, there is certainly an atmosphere that lends itself to such things- but in Miegunyah's case, any ghost is definitely more of the friendly, quiet sort. Thanks for your question! Jo
