This is great for a visit and to chat to locals. Unfortunately this year there seem to be fewer seats and tables to sit and enjoy your coffee or pancakes. This to me is a major problem and hopefully can be improved.

We were pleasantly surprised by the markets. Lots of food and other stalls selling local goods. A great place to find some interesting items and support the locals.

When in Darwin, there is only one thing to do on a Saturday morning: take a drift around the Parap Markets. Pause for a Mango smoothie, buy some Jack fruit pieces and just soak in that slightly Asian mix of colour, people and market stalls....More

Feels like you are in Asia as you wander through here. The smell of the food especially. Unfortunately I only had a short time but enjoyed a couple of spicy curry puffs. More time next visit.

Took the local bus, $3 for 3 hours, good value. Market small but very busy. Excellent Mango Lassies, thoroughly recommend the LARGE one, just a $1 more than the smaller and much better value
