Lovely informative museum, and nice place to shop for art and gifts. Would return to purchase gifts for families and friends.

The weavings made by the community women will not appeal to everyone and are not the most easily displayed material. Unless it appeals to you you may not find a souvenir here to take home. it must have a niche market somewhere.

We visited the Tjanpi Desert Weavers gallery after doing a workshop at the Araluen cultural centre connected with the Beanie Festival. The most beautiful work - amazing colours and designs and such skill. A must to visit in Alice Springs, and support the women weavers.
