I didn’t do the opera house tour. Took my kids up to the opera house for photos and then walked into and through the botanical gardens and watched the sunset from Yarra Gate. Really worth it and kids loved it. Highly recommended.

Walk along the shore line from the Sydney Opera House, past Circular Quay and the overseas passenger terminal and under the Sydney Harbour Bridge. All the time with the harbour on your right hand side so you can take in the view. There are plenty...More

Beautiful, relaxing, lay back and watch the world go by. Just a walk from Sydney city. Ferry to Manly, Mosman. The Harbour Bridge and The Opera house, stand out in all their Glory, for some great photos.

A relatively flat walk taking in the salty harbour air and the treasure of Woolloomooloo awaiting. There is some shading so on the sunniest days there is some cover. You will have the opportunity to view Mrs Macquarie's chair and look across to the workings...More

how many cities can mix nature and man made & get it right like this walk. Fantastic, time out of the rush to reflect, look back and enjoy the beauty and peace.

The Botanic gardens are just behind albeit slightly uphill but if your there why not explore both . Maybe take a picnic and have it in the gardens watching boats on the harbour

If you go on the Opera house web site it will give you all the shows that are currently on. If you are staying in a hotel the reception or concierge will be able to help you.

You should be able to do all that in the morning. There are tours of the opera house you might not have time for if you want to wander around the gardens longer - but they are all right in the same place, so if you have an... More

April in Sydney is Autumn : it's warm but not as hot as in the summer months. Very nice for walking about. Expect daytime temperatures around 20°C (68°F) cooling down at night to 15°C (58°F) .
