Many staff to assist. Some friendly than others. Train timetable boards at main concourse. Taxis and buses near main entrance. Plenty of eateries and accommodation all in walking distsnce.

Platforms can change. Normally is in the Country Platform area of Central. The platform is posting clearly on the departure borad. It's often Platform no 1

It is an 11.5 hour train trip and about he same by bus. A plane ticket was around $100 AUD on Jetair and takes little more than an hour. Places are further apart then they seem on a map!!
