Darling Harbour is one of my favourite Sydney locations. Great place just to wander around and watching all the life around you. And it is a food heaven with so many different eateries the only stressor is knowing which one to choose. Great shopping centre...More

Darling Harbour is lovely to walk around and less busy than the city streets when crossing to Hyde Park or The Domain. It also has bridges to shelter under when the thunderstorms hit.

The Darling Harbour has so many restaurants to offer as well as a beautiful view at night! Compared to Circular Quay, it has much more of a night life and is central to a lot of tourist activities such as sea life, Madame tussards, Sydney...More

If you are interested in maritime history, the Maritime museum is great (and don't miss the outside Wharf bits). The nighttime light show should not be missed, and the opening of the swing bridge is worth seeing. There is also the Aquarium and Madame Tousauds...More

Darling harbour is central to all public transport and the ferry's to circular quay and taronga zoo. The atmosphere is nice and a walk over the bridge is nice.

Lots to see and do here. Beautiful harbor views. Plenty of the restaurants offer lunch specials and appealing happy hour deals. Walk to the adjacent Barangaroo area for more dining options.

I agree with first response, you can walk (30-40) min but take the ferry for the best views of the bridge. The bridge is adjacent to central Quay, darling harbour is further inland and bridge is not visible from there.
