My beautiful wife and I have been here a few times before. The ambiance and central location along with unlimited dining and shopping options makes for a thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining experience. The harbour is bustling and vibrant and great for people watching. No dissapointments...More

This bustling quarter, a short walk from the CBD, offers something for everyone: restaurants, bars, a playground, walks.

I can't see any real reason to visit Darling Harbour in its own right. Though there are some notable attractions there. Say the Aquarium and the Nautical Museum. I think the issue is that it's just so international in style could be anywhere in the...More

Came to visit while on holiday in Sydney as was in all the guidebooks. Very underwhelmed. Lots of typical tourist shops and eateries, overpriced places and over hyped. Ok if you have nothing better to do but don't expect much different to the same kind...More

We stayed in the Sofitel at Darling Harbour. Easy walking distance to good restaurants, the Maritime Museum, Welcome Walls etc. Great experience.

Definitely worth a visit during the day or night and a good spot for lunch or dinner. Plenty to choose from and plenty to see.

Convenience location can be access by Ferry, tram and also not far from trains. With many restaurants, shops, museum and other attractions around. Also very relaxing to walk along the riverside and enjoy the nice view.

Love spending a Saturday or Sunday with the family at Darling Harbour. Great playground area, plenty of places to eat and lots of things to do - all while enjoying great views.

We took the ferry to Darling Harbour and had a delicious lunch at a Greek restaurant along the water. Very pleasant and not crowded. We noticed that the people walking by were a younger, more laid-back bunch than those at Sydney Harbour.

I agree with first response, you can walk (30-40) min but take the ferry for the best views of the bridge. The bridge is adjacent to central Quay, darling harbour is further inland and bridge is not visible from there.
