Excellent mass held at St. Mary's Cathedral in Sydney. The building housed 5000 people for mass Christmas Eve. A light show displayed on the front facing cathedral was outstanding. The architecture, stained glass and breathtaking altar was well worth the visit.

I went to visit the cathedral. I was rudely asked to leave the cathedral because a mass was on. Where was the security man's manners? Also it is so dark inside. Why not use brighter lights.

St.Mary's Cathedral is a must see while in Sydney. Located close to Botanic Gardens. Attractive architecture inside and outside.

A beautiful icon in the heart of the CBD, if you can get inside, if nothing is on, just go and and sit down and look up, down and around. Beautiful Art and Architecture, beautifully serene. Perfect place for a wedding, for any Princess

This a very beautiful cathedral that stands out from the rest of it's surroundings. My wife and I were inside to say a prayer and to take a short tour.

This building is beautiful from the outside as well as on the inside. I appreciated the fact that people are allowed inside, even if there is a service or (?) going on. Visitors are asked, and yes, even expected to be respectful of what it...More

Take a few quite minutes to visit St Mary's Cathedral across from Hyde Park. The foundation stone was set October 29, 1821. The church burnt down twice before its present day structure. The previous structures were wooden and after the second fire the church became...More

Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with
energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise
buildings and after-work drink places, high-end
shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners
frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a
dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit
the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle,
reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens

Free, though some people might leave a small donation, knowing that all churches accept donations. The Sunday tour is also free.
