We took several ferries and were impressed with all of them. The Circular Quay terminal is a real find. Buying tickets, figuring out times, and getting in and out is easy. Just read and follow instructions. Everything works.

Great to sit somewhere close to the quay and watch the ferries speeding in and out. This, of course, goes on all day and is like clockwork. We did take the return trip to Manly and enjoyed it despite it being somewhat windy.

The connections between the various destinations are very regular and also low-cost. With sunny weather the sights over the harbour, opera house and bridge are great. Getting accomodation across the harbour may be worthwhile investigating.

I catch a ferry to Manly and occasionally to Taronga zoo. No traffic to endure while enjoying the scenery. I also catch a ferry from Rose Bay wharf to Circular Quay. Ferries are very busy on weekends.
