Took the long trip to Lanyon Homestead on Monday but found it is closed on Public Holidays! So we went on to Tharwa for ice cream at the Tharwa Store and returned via Cotter Reserve. 😥😥

A lovely old homestead from squattocracy days, many of the out buildings are convict built and are in original condition while the house has been modernised to a degree, like electricity. Fine gardens plus lovely old trees make for a good wander.
