I visited the most holy Munneshwaram temple and worshiped and enjoyed the great architecture there. This is a historic Hindu temple with a lot of history associated with it. The heritage of this place makes this an important tourist spot in the country.

We had a quick visit to Munneshwarsm kovil on our way from Chilaw. The area was dirty and had a musty smell. People were trying to sell us pooja which was annoying. The kovil was nice with lots of art work to enjoy.

Like all Hindu temples this temple has wonderful art works decorating it on the outside. A large number of deities are to be found among the figurines.
