Newark Market place is the centre of the Town, and although the market itself does seem to be loosing many stalls these days, it is still worth a visit. the market is dominated by St. Mary's church which if you fit you can sometimes get...More

We went to Newark for a day out and we weren’t disappointed. The outdoor market had something for everyone and I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of small independent shops there were, not to mention the fabulous antique centre. It was cheap to park and...More

Newark market square is the central hub of Newark. Markets are held on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The Saturday market is the biggest. Antique markets are held on Mondays and Thursdays and Farmers markets are held on the first Wednesday of the month.

Enjoyed my visit to Newark Market, set in a very eye-catching square in the centre of town. Quite a variety of stalls and food options, but certainly not all available stalls were in use. Not the most bustling of markets, but still worth a visit.

Historically this is one of the biggest medieval markets in England. Very nice place and a great opportunity for purchasing fresh vegetables and bread. Two times a week there should also be antiques fair, but nowadays it does not attract many sellers anymore.

Compared to our market at Lincoln this one is great! Having said that I have been to far better and far bigger. Given the size there is an ample selection of stalls to buy various items. My favourite are the Bread and vegetable stalls!
