The proprietor has gone to great efforts to fill his gallery with a variety of artists and styles. We especially liked his works by Blanco - what a talented artist. For me, it was a special treat to meet Loki - an authentic Mexican Hairless!...More

Found it to be just like any other shop with exception of someone guiding you through the shop to explain details, though it seemed you needed to ask the questions first. It truly is another shop so beware of the very hard sell, especially on...More

The black pottery is especially pretty and a nice souvenir one can actually use at home. Pretty weavings too. We weren't pressured at all by the staff. In fact, all the people we encountered in town were lovely. Tip: the farther away from the square,...More

They do have crafts from various parts of Oaxaca. There is a market a few steps away that have similar items. The market is a warren and this is displayed with care.

This is not so much a "museum" as it is a retail store for Oaxaca handicrafts. It has weaving looms and craft demonstrations that were interesting to watch. But beware: the employees, while knowledgeable in crafts, can be VERY pushy when it comes to selling...More

Our guides insisted we stop here and see the process in which they produce their beautiful woven pieces. From carding the fleece, spinning the yarn, dying the yarn with natural dies and then weaving the tableclothes, runners, rugs and more. They do an absolute beautiful...More
