At least that is what OH says, but I like their blackcurrant cider served with a traditional pork pie. Ideal stop for lunch or early evening as it often closes early but at weekends it plays it by ear and can be open later. Great...More

The bake and ale house is a delightful little micro pub right off the bus stop in the centre of Westgate-on-sea. Come in for a lunchtime noggin or dinner time tipple of fine local ales, wines or soft drinks. Small and friendly, this tiny establishment...More

I was interviewed the Micropub Guide outside this fantastic micro. In the guide i am quoted as saying " Best micropub in Thanet by a mile". I stand by that. John and his staff are very helpful and when it comes to beers , they...More

This little pub packs so much in. Wide choice of beers, wines, spirits, soft drinks and the occasional coffee. There is also locally sourced food. Meat raffle on Friday where profits go to local charities. It is situated at the back of the Carlton Cinema....More

Four of us visited this small pub last night and loved it. No bar - just a menu on a chalkboard - and a very friendly owner who walked around taking orders, this is a special place and so unlike the boring corporate chains that...More

Another great Thanet Micropub. Hidden away down an alley it's worth hunting for. Five real ales and three ciders all straight from the barrel. And you can have a pork pie with it if you want. Small, idiosyncratic, wonderful. Don't miss it !
