I went for a tandem flight with Hans. What an amazing experience. I use the scene from up there to take me away from the dentist chair in my mind's eye and have my teeth done without an injection.

Hans and Ria are super enthusiastic and helpful. Hans was very knowledgeable about the area and paragliding. He was a great guide and a very interesting person. The accommodation was very reasonably priced and comfortable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying here for a week or so. The Nip Inn just 1km down the road is a nice place if you don’t enjoy your own cooking. As I solo travelled I was very comfortable there. The flying sites were all very nice with mostly nice grass for launch and landing.

It's a rustic and charming set of cottages in a beautiful valley. And then there are the mountains. . . To jump off. I'm still a student pilot and spend 3 days flying under their instruction. 5 stars for location, for passion and for knowledge. I highly recommend both the venue (they've everything you need - they are just wooden cottages) and their instruction. Then, as I said, the mountain to jump off.

I began with the 2 day introductory course, and then continued to complete my basic license from Feb to April. Hans and Ria are super enthusiastic, experienced, and professional instructors keeping the course very relaxed, fun and safe. The lodge is a beautiful rustic setting with fully equipped self-catering options. Access to mountains, grasslands and nearby forest birding areas. A wonderful place to stay whether you are paragliding or just chilling on the way to the drakensberg.
