Our guide Carlin was very knowledgeable and friendly, showing us dozens of flowers, spices and native medicinal plants along with monkeys and a sloth in the trees. He also provided just the right amount of history. At the end, chocolate prepared to order. A great...More

From reading other reviews, it appears that we were really lucky, but we had a private tour (just the 2 of us) with our guide. He told us all about the multi-step process of making chocolate, with interesting facts on botany, chemistry, and history, and...More

We visited this spot through another tour, but wanted to make another mention of how great it was! The tour guide was a local bribri who was very friendly and knowledgable. We enjoyed learning the chocolate process and especially the taste testing at the end!

Hands down, the best cacao tour I've been on in Costa Rica, and I've been on many. Our guide, a native Bribri, was as genuinely interested in the tour as anyone else there. He was obviously excited and passionate about sharing this part of his...More

Spent a hundred dollars for a family of four. Within ten minutes of the tour we realized this was a big mistake. Although many have mentioned needing bug spray, I would like to add you should bathe in it before you leave. You aren't allowed...More
