I’ll start off by saying that this trip did not go as planned, unfortunately. Nevertheless, it was a wonderful experience seeing rural chaochi, about an hour drive from the hostel in the Candelaria neighborhood of bogota. First, as has been mentioned in other posts, the...More

We used Colombian buddy to go to this activity. We walked all the way to La Chorrera and back to El Chiflon and behind it. Both were awesome. We got lucky with the clouds/fog clearing to get a great picture of La Chorrera's entirety. It...More

Just across the mountains from Bogotá, this is a gorgeous taste of rural Colombia. From the main road, you pass through a couple villages and reach a really nice private park -- with super friendly staff -- where you can purchase admission, have some Cuban...More

I can't understand why this waterfall is not as popular as it should be . Only 40 kmts away from Bogota, no trafdfic jams, beautiful landscape and friendly campesinos.

You have to walk at least for one hour to reach the waterfall. Very friendly people around. I highly recommend this place. You can thereafter travel to Choachi and relax in the thermal waters.

I went there for three days with Tip-Top backpackers and stayed at La-Chorrera guest house which is located right at the entrance of the trek. Had a beautiful view of the fall from my bedroom. The place has many more things to offer other than...More

Our family of four recently hiked La Chorrera on a guided tour from Bogota. We loved it, great fun, moderately challenging and spectacular views. Great way to see another side of the beautiful country just outside Bogota.

We were pleasantly surprised! My family of 5 adults visited La Chorrera on a Friday around 3pm. Even though they told us that it was too late to do a tour, they offered us to go to "El Chiflon" which is the shortest tour. I...More
